Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions below. If you don't find what you're looking for, feel free to reach out directly.
What is the difference between raw and regular honey?
Raw honey is unheated and unfiltered, preserving enzymes, pollen, and natural compounds that heating removes. Regular honey is often pasteurized and blended. Metche's raw honey is bottled at the peak of bloom, never heated above 40°C.
How should I store Metche honey?
Store in a cool, dark place at room temperature. Honey naturally crystallizes over time — this is a sign of quality and purity. If you prefer a softer texture, gently warm the jar in warm water. Never microwave or heat above 40°C, as this damages the natural compounds.
Do you offer international shipping?
Currently, we ship throughout Europe with standard and express options. International orders outside Europe are being evaluated. Contact us for specific shipping inquiries or custom orders.
What is your return policy?
We stand behind the quality of our honey. If you're not completely satisfied within 30 days of purchase, we offer a full refund or replacement. Unopened jars can be returned for any reason.
Is your honey suitable for infants?
Raw honey should not be given to infants under 12 months due to the rare risk of botulism. For children over 12 months and adults, our raw honey is a wonderful addition to their diet.
Are your beekeeping practices ethical?
Yes. All our honey comes from beekeepers who follow the Art of Gentle Harvesting — prioritizing hive health, bee welfare, and meadow biodiversity over volume. Every batch is 100% traceable to a specific apiary and harvest season.
